#493 No iso image validation is visible from fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora
Closed: Fixed None Opened 16 years ago by afarris.

There are always SHA1SUM values available from fedora mirrors for the released install images, but these are currently not placed in any visible location to downloaders from the Fedora Website. They should be prominently displayed (a link to the SHA1SUM files directly from the fedoraproject.org domain).

http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora should have a visible link to SHA1SUMs for every downloadable image. The same thing needs to be done for the alpha and beta mirror redirect pages.

Completely agreed. We have a verify page with the info - where on the get-fedora page do you think we should link to it?

A link to the page just below the light blue image group boxes would work fine I think. It would be visible enough there and not everyone is going to be interested in it so the top of the page isn't necessary.

Hi Ricky,
This change has not been made so I just wanted to follow-up on it as F9 is coming up! Is this change going to get posted to the get-fedora page in time for the release?

A 'Verify my downloaded image' link directly above 'Let me look around' maybe?

The F8 website has been frozen, but the change has made it into the F9 website, which you can see at http://publictest10.fedoraproject.org/get-fedora.

That looks great thanks!
