Fedora happens to have a dedicated list address
-> security@fedoraproject.org -> security-private@fedoraproject.org
which has been dormant and unknown to the wider audience since long time. We(Fedora Security Team) would like to have the owner/moderator-ship of the these lists and make it a well known address for reporting security issues against Fedora packages.

To clarify, there's only one list:
security-private@lists.fedoraproject.org
and 2 aliases:
security@fedoraproject.org secalert@fedoraproject.org
that send things there.
As a first step, can you just contact the list owner to give you ownership of the list? I don't like bypassing people, and I think he's still around.
