This seems quite reasonable to me, but this is more under releng than infrastructure. (ie, should be in rel-eng trac)

Sadly this info is still needed right now for initially populating the information. If we didn't have it it could be blank until the next time the updater runs (max a week).

This entire process is going to change before too long anyhow, as we are going to move it into pkgdb from bugzilla. Hopefully we can make things more automated then. :)
