#425 Error commiting summary (specspo) in Transifex
Closed: Fixed None Opened 16 years ago by igor.

When I try to commit the summary pt_BR.po file for the specspo module I get following error:

"There was a technical error with the commit/push of your submission, most likely because of a misconfiguration of the system. Try refreshing the module's cache and retry submitting.The administrators will look into the log files and try to find out what went wrong."

The error in the logs is:
{{{Module checkout for specspo, HEAD failed.
File exists, no permissions to apply patch (/var/lib/transifex/workdir/local-vcs/cvs/specspo.HEAD/dist/summary/pt_BR.po)
Unsuccessful commit
}}}

The permissions on that file are 444 (even from a clean checkout)- could that be related? Maybe this is a problem with the CVS repo/migration.

I think the 444 is the problem, since by u+w'ing el.po I committed successfully.

This has been filed at https://fedorahosted.org/transifex/ticket/25 a few days ago. No fix yet.

Is this something in the cvs or something in transifex?

Upon normal checkout, the file comes as 444. Transifex needs RW files currently to work, it doesn't do chmod.

This should work for now (I chmodded the files manually), however no long-term fix yet.

Problem is still there, i could commit summary/de.po one time without problems, but since then i always get the error above.

Also for summary/bg.po. I committed once without errors and subsequent commit fails. When will be this fixed? Any estimated time frame?

Thanks.

I think this got fixed with the recent removal of CVS watches. Feel free to reopen if problems persist.
