= bug description = I was using the old fedora link as my openid link - https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/openid/id/vvolansk (vvolansk is my username). Today I couldn't get into my gerrit account with it, so I used the new link published in - https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/OpenID ,i.e., vvolansk.id.fedoraproject.org . I am now logged into gerrit with what seems to be a new user, and can't link to my old one since it's openid is no longer working. = bug analysis =
= fix recommendation =
My case is that I cannot login even with the new format which I am using already for quite some time. If I specify upon login https://evilissimo.id.fedoraproject.org/ I end up on this page: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/openid/server with a 404 error
Note: not using http:// or https:// in front of <userid>.id.fedoraproject.org solves it for me.

Note: not using http:// or https:// in front of <userid>.id.fedoraproject.org solves it for me. I didn't use http/https to begin with. Probably something to do with using the old unadvertized version.
Lets move this ticket over to the existing one on ticket #3695
It seems gerrit caches identity in memory, so it's keeping the old one around.
Hopefully we can setup a redirect from the old (unadvertised) url to the new one.
Yes, Gerrit does cache. A Gerrit restart at our end solved it.
