#365 mailman setup (project/hosted)
Closed: Fixed None Opened 16 years ago by mmcgrath.

We've now got collaboration servers etup and ready for use. Right now there's two points of contact.

Jeff Ollie (jcollie): Technical contact / implementation
Dennis Gilmore (ausil): Political / planning contact.

There's a number of technical and political issues with the fedoraproject mailing lists. Targeting fedorahosted first may be easier.

We also need a list standard whatever that ends up being.

I propose (at least for fedorahosted) that mailing lists be required to be named "<project>(-<something>)?-list".

hey jcollie, I was wondering whats left blocking for this on Fedora Hosted?

3 things:

1) Need to get rid of the mailman alias in /etc/aliases on hosted1/collab1 - puppet controls this file and we don't want to get rid of the alias on other machines so we probably need to make this a template.

2) A few minutes free to test.

3) Deciding on a policy for list names.

Everything should be in place for mailman on Fedora Hosted, see:
