Email messages generated by gnome-post-receive-email sometimes include nick names instead of full names in "From" field, e.g. https://fedorahosted.org/pipermail/linux-pam-commits/2011-October/thread.html Please fix it to always use full names.
We (linux-pam developers) would like to adjust "Subject" field of these emails to include ref names (with "refs/" prefix stripped).
While all these generated emails are directed to linux-pam-commits@lists.fedorahosted.org, we would like this mailing list to be configured to have "Reply-To" field point to pam-developers@lists.fedorahosted.org
We need to configure "pre-receive" or "update" hook to do some policy enforcement: reject commits that add bad whitespaces (those that would be rejected by git diff --check), something like that: http://git.altlinux.org/people/ldv/packages/?p=git.git;a=commitdiff;h=1.6.4.4-alt1-1-gd9d5c7b
Thanks in advance.
I have done the Reply-To pam-developers as I am the list admin on the pam-developers list.
The full names in the commit field are pulled from the Fedora Account system probably. Dmitry, try to set your full name in the FAS.
The two other requests are still remaining.
Replying to [comment:1 tmraz]:
The "Full Name" property is mandatory in the FAS, but there is another property called "Privacy" which was set to "Private". I guessed that I had to change "Privacy" to "Public", to make "Full Name" available for other services.
ok. I have added in the update hook with the whitespace checking...
Please confirm thats working correctly.
That leaves us with refs on the subject line, which I am not sure how to do with our current mail hook. can look more on it.
Closing fixed/no response on follow up. Please reopen if needed.
