Messages sent to matahari@lists.fedorahosted.org often take several hours to arrive.
Additionally, although all messages eventually show up in the archives, it may take many days for them to appear there - even when the "Archived on" date is later than when the message was delivered to other recipients.
Anecdotally, it feels slower around the time of major Fedora milestones, but I don't have any data to back that up.
Y'all may be aware of this issue already, but I couldn't find a ticket for it and I wanted to flag that it is a pain as this is our main means of communication for the project.
Yeah, we are well aware. ;)
The cause of the list slowness is mostly due to a high volume list on there thats sucking up the archiver time and generally delaying things. ;(
Our plan is to move lists off to a new set of machines... but we are waiting to hear about new hardware to set those up on. ;(
Take a look at: http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/infrastructure/2011-August/010668.html and followup posts for our current plan.
Sorry for the trouble and we hope to have things flowing a good deal better before too long.
I'll go ahead and close this, but feel free to re-open if there's some short term action you wish us to do.
