#2915 Wiki bugzilla integration stopped to work
Closed: Fixed None Opened 12 years ago by goldmann.

RHBZ macro stopped to strike out closed bugs on wiki. For example:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/JBossAS7#Current_progress

See line #6, last cell: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=708836 is closed but on wiki it looks like it is still open.

I see this since middle of July (this is a rough estimation, I don't have specific date, sorry :().

This looks like it would take something like the BugSquish extension, which I can't see any record of us setting up. ;(

Will dig around some more.

Are you sure this was working automatically?

I see:

https://fedoraproject.org/w/index.php?title=JBossAS7&action=historysubmit&diff=239371&oldid=239092

Where it looks like you manually added the strike thru?

OK, now I'm looking like a fool... :)

Is there a chance to make it automatically maybe? We would need to cache the the info somewhere to not receive the status every time someone refreshes the page.

Yeah, there is:

http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:BugSquish

We would need to get this packaged and in EPEL, then we could install it and configure it and use it. ;)

Hey, this looks promising! I'll take a look and I'll refresh this ticket when I'm there with the package, thanks!

Ping? We're looking at new extensions for the wiki and I'm wondering if you've got anything for this, or if you still need this extension.

Sadly I haven't done anything in packaging that extension... :( But still - it would be a nice-to-have.

I'll take a look at it at some point then. :)

I will look into packaging and deploying this soon.

This package needs direct access to the BugZilla database, but since BugZilla is from RedHat, this will not be going to work.
I will look into modifying this to use the BZ APIs soon.

Since the current system only works with direct access to the bugzilla database, which is impossible, and the APIs of bugzilla are quite slow, this would slow down our wiki too much.

Therefore, I will stop investing time into this, and close this as wontfix.
