= Reasoning = We have more contributors now and the current maintainer and newer members of the team are more familiar & comfortable with git than svn.

A few elements I believe should be taken into account:
1) Transifex change also required. We don't expect any translated strings to change within the next few weeks/months, but that's only a guess. 2) If easily achievable, the trac svn viewer should remain available for the time being as a few active BZs contain direct links to commits.

ok. I have created a new git repo for you with the 'gitsos' group.
You will need to:
a) add whoever you like to the new gitsos group.
b) import any changes or code from your svn repo. Do you wish to do this? Or would you like us to import it for you?
Finally when everything is ready on the git repo, we can switch trac to use it and the git group.
Any news here?

We finally pushed everything in git yesterday, you can go ahead and do the trac transition!
I suppose transifex will also need a migration?

ok. I think I have this working...
switching trac was not very clearcut, and I had to recreate the trac instance and re-import your front page.
Please take a look and see if everything looks ok from your side, and if so we can close this.

If not, we may need to get one of the tx folks to help out here...
