Quality of VoIP programs in Fedora is currently miserable, it is very useful when user can in privacy of his own without bothering anybody fiddle with his SIP client before it is ready at least for testing with some other human being.
It would be helpful if the Asterisk on talk.fedorproject.org was allowing it by having the echo service switched on.
Extension 1002 provides an echo test, please confirm that this is what you are asking for.
