#1624 Weekly Cron job request for auto-updating wiki page.
Closed: Fixed None Opened 14 years ago by susmit.

= phenomenon =

We would like to put [https://fedorahosted.org/fama/browser/membership-mwbot.py this script] in a weekly cron job.

This scripts uses [http://sourceforge.net/projects/mwclient/ mwclient], which uses the fedora wiki api and saves the data of a particular FAS group automatically into respective pages namely [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors/MembershipService/VerificationStats this] and [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors/MembershipService/Verification1 this].

This script is already in use, though manually.

= background analysis =
None.

= implementation recommendation =
mwclient is MIT licensed. But not yet packaged for Fedora. Do I need to get it packaged first?

Otherwise, we can put the mwclient directory somewhere and import the modules from it.

Thanks.

mwclient is now packaged. There is no problem with this hosting now.

I have updated the script and also attaching it.
Someone please take care of it, it should be a trivial job.

Thanks.

Can you also request branch and build against EPEL (EL-5 would be good) ? [[BR]]
The related server is running rhel.

The EL-5 is now pushed.

I have updated the scripts and init.pp
commit d730f491f51e49108f2a0308d377a508dedfb468
commit 879df7e0706758740a28c9a9d726f6263f9c1039

Let's see if it works.

I shall downgrade this to daily cron and close it.
