Every time someone asks for an outdated copy of Fedora (e.g. Fedora Core 4), someone send them the URL to archive.fp.o, as well as adding a personal admonition against using such old releases.
Could we add such a admonition as the standard HTML and/or FTP pages returned to the users at those pages? perhaps a README.html? It would have a message something like:
Historical releases are available, however, they are no longer maintained. No security fixes or bug fixes will be issued for these releases. We recommend using the latest maintained Fedora release instead.
I've added a README.html at http://archives.fedoraproject.org/pub/archive/ - is that good? We could also look at adding a similar rsync motd file for that module.
