Hello!
Would it be possible to add a new category for new packages to the fedora-package-announce list? I'm interested in seeing what new packages are released to Fedora but I don't have the time/patience to wade through the full bulk of the fedora-package-announce list. So in the same way that there currently exists a category for security updates, would it be possible to implement a category for new packages?
This has been further discussed in https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-infrastructure-list/2009-July/msg00034.html
Adding the maintainers of that list here for comment/action.
I'm not saying we couldn't do this, but note that you can pull this info from the bodhi RSS feeds.
See https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/rss/rss2.0?release=F10&status=stable&type=newpackage for an example.
I don't actually get any of the mail that goes to this list, and the web archive doesn't show any headers that I can create the topic from. Can you post a full header dump from a new package announcement?
Any news here? Can someone provide the requested info?
ok, looks like this is going to require some bodhi changes. Currently it doesn't indicate new packages.

Hey look, it's only 3 years later and this is finally implemented. ;)
There should be a new package topic now.
Sorry this took so long...
