hey, you forgot the project name paul.
I guess it's board or fedora-board ?

Oops! Well, I'm not sure what other Boards' business we'd host, but with no one else around to claim it, I think "board" is good enough. :-)

ha and, we don't use @redhat.org for new mailing lists but @fedoraproject.org so,
we can't set it to the requested one.

Is board@ fine with you ?

Ah, do you mean you can't set the mailing list to anything @redhat.com? If so, you can set it via FAS, right? We have a "fedora-board" group in FAS, so would setting it to "fedora-board-members@fedoraproject.org" work?

Done with fedora-board-members@.

Your mailing list Admin password has been sent to you.

Ah, I see -- We don't really need this mailing list at all. I can accomplish what I want purely with the [notification] settings in Trac, so that ticket changes are emailed to fedora-board-list@redhat.com. You can evaporate that mailing list, Xavier -- thanks anyway!

Am I missing something? We can direct commit notifications to any address we want. We only host and create lists @lists.fedorahosted.org, but if you just want commits to the fedora-board git repo to be sent to fedora-board-list@redhat.com, I think that's fine. Perhaps the wording on the new hosting request template could make this more clear? (I deserve the blame for the current wording.)

FWIW, I installed new mail notification hooks borrowed from the good folks @gnome.org on hosted1 recently. That is in /usr/share/git-core/mail-hooks/gnome-post-receive-email. Example output is available at http://mail.gnome.org/archives/svn-commits-list/. This is intended to be linked as a post-receive hook in git, rather than as an update hook.

You're not missing anything. Xavier and I just got our wires crossed. All's well and this ticket can be closed.
