#348 Badge for release engineering members
Opened 9 years ago by till. Modified a year ago

What the badge should be granted for: Membership of sysadmin-releng
Badge description (like "You added a co-maintainer to a package. BFF!"): You keep Fedora rolling as part of the release engineering team.
Anything else we need to know:

Possible Artwork Concepts: "ship it!" could be an actual ship, a squirrel with a bubble that says ship it!

@maryshak1996, good start! Because this is a membership badge, it should have a pink outer ring and a green background. I think this badge design could be just as successful without the text, since the badge will be called 'ship it!" Right now the text is the most prominent part. I would like you to try adding in strokes on your objects. The curvature on the ship is very illustrative and it would be nice to see the holes on the ship follow that curvature. I would like to see a version without as many gradients used. although gradients are used in Fedora Badges, they are used in a subtle way when possible. You can achieve the look of depth without using gradients, for example this badge: https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/it-still-works! It is using the regular Fedora blue as the "highlight" and the dark Fedora blue as the "shadow" You could try doing something like this: https://cdn.vectorstock.com/i/composite/84,77/cartoon-ship-vector-728477.jpg using different shapes of color to define volume. It could be nice for the ship to be orange because it would be a developer ship :)

@maryshak1996, wow! Your changes look great :) can you make the background the lighter Fedora green? same as this badge: https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/pixel-ninja

Because this badge design is more of an illustration than a simpler graphic laying on top of the background, perhaps it would be nice to add in a blue sky background with a cloud or two.

Could we see both options when you get a chance? thank you!!

@riecatnor, sure sounds good! I'll get iterations with both of those background options posted today!
