'''What the badge should be granted for: ''' Members of the sysadmin FAS group
'''Badge description (like "You added a co-maintainer to a package. BFF!"): ''' You were sponsored into the sysadmin group, a maintainer of Fedora's Infrastructure.
'''Anything else we need to know: ''' Perhaps the badge and/or tagline can be some kind of building or tree infrastructure reference. ("root hugger", tree infrastructure + root?)

We're already kind of heavy on the infra sysadmin badges.. ;) We have the fi-apprentice one and a sysadmin-main one.. and one for running ansible too.
I'm not opposed in principle, it just seems a little unbalanced.
First version of my logo, still unfinished but needed to upload progress before Flock session ends Root Hugger Badge.svg

This is my first render of the Root Hugger badge concept from the Badge workshop at Flock 2015. We ran out of time and I'm still learning Inkscape, so it's in rough shape, but the badge idea is there. The one thing I was going to do was make the panda Fedora blue and make the # symbol a retro terminal green, or if that looked awkward, a black hash with a white stroke.
jflory7, that looks awesome! Maybe blending together the background and the sign together would make it look nicer!
jflory7, great start!
I think making the panda blue is a great idea. I look forward to seeing options for the # symbol.
I have a few suggestions for you. Please make the background a medium green similar to other member badges. See for reference -> https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/your-call-may-be-monitored-for-quality-assurance
Add in a background pattern.. it could be the wavy one from the link above. You could use a radial gradient -> https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/videographer or a starburst -> https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/rock-the-web!
Try playing around with the sizing of your panda, it should take up more of the badge canvas. You may end up cropping off the bottom of its body.

Hey,
I thought of working on this badge during Flock. Following is my idea. Looking forward for reviews:-
<img alt="342.png" src="/Fedora-Badges/issue/raw/files/3b6558f4f911a52c3c95421ce49f17c7dc071429741536f46c4e60b0c05ee7f0-342.png" />
@a2batic, nice start! I have a few suggestions to make this design great.
The badgers arms and legs are looking a little funky. For the arms, try rounding them out a bit. For the legs I think a good solution would be to make the badger a bit bigger and crop the legs out entirely- this will simplify he badge and keep the focus on the # symbol.
Is the concept for this artwork a super man theme? Or is the badger holding onto a piece of paper with a #? If you are going for the super man theme try using this picture for some reference: https://i.pinimg.com/236x/fc/46/3f/fc463f65dc98980f2d244438c13033b4--clark-kent-costume-superman-shirt.jpg
Thanks for your work :)
