Since part of the point of badges was to encourage people to contribute in new and different ways, I think it would be helpful if a badge page had a link to how you could earn the badge, even just to the relevant team's wiki page or something. Some are less obvious than others, especially for newer contributors.
Every badge has a 'criteria' link on it that takes you to the ticket where the badge idea was discussed (which will in turn have information there about how to get it // what it's about).
