Ticket #450 (closed defect: fixed)
autogenerated text in comments (e.g. when obsoleting etc.) should include full URL to new update
|Reported by:||alexlan||Owned by:|
Currently when a new update obsoletes an old update, bodhi includes the name of the new update but not a link, e.g. for this update:
when I pushed a newer package that obsoletes this old one, bodhi generates the useful message:
"This update has been obsoleted by octave-forge-20090607-17.fc13 "
It would be even more useful if it includes the full link to the new update, e.g.:
"This update has been obsoleted by https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/octave-forge-20090607-17.fc13"
That way the user can click immediately to the new update, rather than having to search for the new update version and mouse around several times to find the new update. Also it would generate the full URL in the notification e-mail which could be clicked on directly, saving the user having to hunt for the new update.
This would go for any other bodhi message that generates the name of a new update, it should always include the full URL.
