The dsktune utility that is run by the installer does not properly check the minimum required kernel version. Here is an example of the output I see when running dsktune on my F16 system:
NOTICE : System is x86_64-unknown-linux3.2.5-3.fc16.x86_64 (2 processors). ERROR: We support kernel version 2.4.7 and higher.
This is obviously incorrect, as 3.2.5 is greater than 2.4.7.
